Experience Works is a vital partner in the Mississippi Workforce Investment Network (WIN) system. Many of our Field Operations Assistants are co-located at the WIN Centers.
Experience Works recently completed grant obligations in Mississippi for a WIA Intermediary Grant funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.
This highly successful Faith-Based Intermediary Project exceeded the outcome goal by 60%. In every community the sub-grantees and the WIN One-Stop Centers worked very closely with newspaper, television, radio and public officials to make the public aware of the services and opportunities available. Program participants were provided opportunities for information, resume writing workshops, college enrollment, GED training and testing, transportation, clothing, food and housing through partnerships with other entities in the community.
