Determination leads to Success
At 57, Jack entered early retirement, a situation he was not ready for. Due to health conditions his doctor recommended he discontinue his medical career. As a licensed psychiatrist he treated children and adults for more than 20 years. When he was physically ready he sought employment but had a difficult time finding long-term employment opportunities. While visiting a career center Jack met with an Experience Works coordinator and was assigned to training opportunities. While training, he pursued permanent employment and self-enrolled in a pharmacy technician certification course. His hard work and determination paid off when he was offered a full-time position as a medical records technician. Jack states, “I appreciate everything Experience Works has done for me. I don’t know if I would have made it as far as I have without Experience Works.”
