Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Maryland

One of the nation's largest and most recognizable volunteer networks is Senior Corp’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program or RSVP. Experience Works is one of many organizations across the county operating local programs through funding from the Corporation of National and Community Service. Experience Works currently offers RSVP in Carroll County.

The program provides the opportunity for people age 55 and older to share their time and talent in a wide variety of volunteer activities. Schedules are flexible, too. Volunteers can choose a location or community project, as well as the number of hours they wish to serve. With the help of pre-service orientation and training, volunteers are confident and prepared to put their skills and compassion to good use.

Program priorities:

• Food insecurity

• Companionship care for seniors and other homebound individuals with disabilities

• Other community priorities
