  In this course, students will explore generational diversity by taking a closer look at the four generations that currently make up today’s workforce and by exploring some of the differences in each generation’s work habits. By utilizing the tips and suggestions presented in this course, students will become more aware of practices at work which bridge differences between the multiple generations of employees in their work place.

  Introduction to Entrepreneuship focuses on recognizing a business idea or opportunity and forumulating or developing the opportunity into a business. Students are encouraged to visualize and create a business plan for an actual business venture. Through the process of developing the business plan, students will acquire the necessary skills to initiate the process of opening a successful business.

Social Media and Networking for Your Job Search


Course Description
 
  The Social Media and Networking e-learning course is an overview of different social media sites and their use.  The course discusses how utilizing social media to build a network can broaden one’s reach and aid in job search efforts. In this course, the student focuses on three key popular social media sites; Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Through exploring strategies used in building networks and establishing contacts the student learns the importance of enhancing their position in the job market through the use of social media in the modern labor environment.

Working in a Customer Service Culture

Every job or position has some degree of customer interaction. This includes customers that come to a business or organization for a product or service, or customers within the business that rely on others to provide information, help or support.
